Collapsing Monuments
Collapsing Monuments
Collapsing Monuments is a performance, manifested in sound, that reflects ongoing conversations between the musician, Vasko Dukovski and myself. The visual works in Proposals for Monuments act as a score for Dukovski’s search for, and development of, new sounds. The performance is driven by a sense of urgency to articulate form, in a continuous state of collapse and endless revision, that emphasizes the difference between prescribed and actual freedom.

The  performance Collapsing Monuments, by Vasko Dukovski took place on April 1st, 2016 at the opening of the Proposals for Monuments exhibition at Napoleon in Philadelphia.
